With the help of this device you can easily and quickly bend rebar, round and square steel bars, metal strips and other metal products, giving them the desired shape. The peculiarity of this manual machine is that it can be made from improvised materials.

Where to start and how to do it?

First of all, you will need to make a conductor in the form of a curl and drill holes in it at the edges (it is advisable to use a workpiece made of strong metal).

The main element of the homemade machine is a large bearing, in the inner part of which it is necessary to weld two segments from a steel bar of circular cross section.
You will also need to make a “double” plate from the side walls of the channel, which must be inserted into the center of the bearing and thoroughly welded.

After that, it will be necessary to clean the welds well with a grinder, and then prepare a steel corner with two drilled holes for the bearing “plug”.

Next, from a round rod, it is necessary to cut segments 30 mm long and weld them to the corner, maintaining the same distance (50 mm each). As a lever, you can use a suitable thick-walled pipe that needs to be welded to the outside of the bearing.

Additionally, you need to drill a hole in the pipe and weld a stud with a diameter of 12 mm, on which small bearings will be mounted.

The advantages of this homemade

The manual machine for "home" cold forging due to the presence of a plate welded to the bottom of the bearing can be fixed in a vice, which is very convenient. In addition, to bend metal products, you can use different "nozzles" - a corner or a conductor, which makes the device more functional.
