To make a bar with a squirrel figure, you will need a meter-long, lovely spruce log, which can be found in the forest.
First of all, we lay in advance a sawed-off part (about two-thirds) horizontally on the stops and with the help of a chainsaw we cut the core on one side (to the depth of the saw). Then you will need to make a cut on the other hand. After that we take out the core of the log.
Working process
With a grinder we remove irregularities inside. On the side we make the door. To do this, we cut a hole at an angle with a hacksaw to make stops. They will prevent the door from falling through. Attach the hinges and handle. Grind on the outside, removing the top layer of the bark.
On the remaining part, we cut a piece along the drawn lines, almost reaching the center. From the ledge we will cut the figure. We cut out the core, having previously noted the depth on the saw, as well as three side holes.
Then we clean the cavity inside. We cut the figure with a chisel and grind. We also grind the walls of the holes and the log from the outside, removing the top layer.
Putting up a bar
We install 3 legs (small diameter) pre-cut from thin logs under the base. The squirrel shape is burned and polished. Then we cover the surface of the product with a thin layer of transformer oil to highlight the texture and give a glow effect, it is an antiseptic. Dries in an hour.
