Brazier is an important component of a comfortable stay in the country or in the country. If you do not want to be distracted once again from rest by turning over skewers, then an electric drive can do this for you.
From improvised tools that can be found in any garage, you can make a brazier with your own hands. In addition, an electric drive for skewers will provide uniform kebab frying.
As a drive, you can use a motor that drives car wipers. Chain and sprockets can be taken from an old motorcycle. Also, these gears will not be a problem to make yourself.
The main stages of work
A profile pipe is quite suitable for the base on which the electric drive will be mounted together with asterisks. We measure the distance that will separate the skewers from each other and drill holes. It is important that with the nozzle on the skewer the meat does not interfere with the rotation of each other, and there is a small distance between them.
We put an asterisk on the bolt and wind the nut. We insert a bolt with an asterisk into the profile pipe and fix it with another nut. After all the stars are in place, it will be possible to cut off the excess part of the bolt with a grinder.
Mounts for the skewers themselves can be made of ordinary steel bar. We cut off identical pieces from it about 5 mm long and drill a hole for skewers in them. From above we make slots for laying skewers. We weld the fasteners to the end of the bolt.
The final touch, and you're done!
We pull the chain on the stars. You can fix the electric drive to the finished barbecue in different ways. The easiest way is to weld two plates to our frame for the entire length of the brazier and fix it. So we can very quickly dismantle the electric drive from the barbecue.
On the other side of the grill, weld metal rings. Or we cut the armature and drill it through. As a result, we get a barbecue with automatic electric skewers.
It won't take a lot of time to make, but it will allow you to enjoy chatting with friends while preparing a barbecue. For a detailed process of manufacturing an electric drive for skewers, see the video on the site.
