In this review, the author shares the idea of how to make a simple drum grinder for a home workshop with your own hands. This will require plywood, from which the working table and grinding drum will be made, as well as an electric motor.

One of the advantages of this design is its compactness and mobility. Such a mini-machine can be fixed without problems on almost any table or horizontal flat surface, which is very convenient.

The first step is to lengthen the motor shaft. To do this, the master welds an elongated nut to it, into which a bolt is screwed. Although, in principle, you can not spoil the shaft, but simply make the adapter sleeve. Which way to choose is up to you.

The main stages of work

Further, using a set of circular saws on wood, it will be necessary to cut round blanks from a sheet of plywood. Then from them the grinding drum gathers. Its sizes can be different.

For gluing blanks, the master uses ordinary PVA glue, and additionally fastens them with nails. We clamp the assembled drum with clamps, and leave it for a while to the side until the glue dries.

Then the master cuts out a rectangular piece from a plywood sheet, which will need to be attached to the motor housing with bolts. From above, another piece of plywood is attached, which will, in fact, be a desktop for workpieces.

At the last stage, it remains only to grind the drum and stick sandpaper of the desired grain size onto it. For this, the master uses glue "Titan". Then you can start assembling.
