Do you like to take a nap for an hour or two in the afternoon or just take a break from work in the country? Then make yourself a simple but comfortable rocking chair.
As the main material used are building boards (pine). But you can use more solid and noble species of wood - for example, oak, ash, birch.
First of all, you need to saw off two pieces of a wide board (they will be used to make runners for a rocking chair).
The main stages of work
With the help of a pattern or in another way, we make markings on the boards - we draw an arc. You can also download the skid template from the Internet. Then we cut out the details on the band saw. We fasten both blanks together and then grind.
At the next stage, it will be necessary to cut the blanks from the inch board, which will be used to make the back and seats of the rocking chair.
Further, the author makes two legs with armrests. After that, you need to fasten the previously cut runners to them.
Then it remains only to make the frame of the seat and back, and sheathe it with boards. They can be preliminarily milled.
At the end, all workpieces will need to be sanded again if necessary, and then painted white or another color.
