Small side tables can often be found in home interiors. They not only “refresh” the familiar atmosphere, but also provide additional amenities.

In this review, the author shares the idea of how to make a simple but practical side table for the home. For example, you can put tea or coffee on it, and the presence of shelves inside the table allows you to attach various little things: books, CDs, phone, etc.

In fact, this is a regular coffee table, but in an unusual design. The first step is to cut the workpieces from the profile pipe. Then, from them, the author welds the frame.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, it is necessary to saw billet plywood blanks with a thickness of 12 mm. From planks, the author glues the box in the form of a frame, but at the same time it should be slightly smaller in size.

The author divided the interior space of the box into two parts. Then we insert the box into the metal frame, and the side table is ready. The sides decided to paint the sides.

Further, the author makes a tabletop from plywood 18 mm thick. It is attached to a wooden box, as well as to the frame itself.
