From a cylindrical billet made of plexiglass, you can make a practical and very convenient to use automatic lubricator, which is useful in any workshop. Please note that for this homemade product you will need a lathe.
Manufacturing process
Plexiglass blanks need to be machined on a lathe, then cut off the excess part, cut the ends on both sides and drill a hole in the center. Then you will need to bore the workpiece (also from two sides).
Next, in the hole in the cylinder, you must insert a metal part - a neck with an internal thread and grind the edge of the workpiece slightly onto the cone. After that, the surface of the plexiglass must be well polished on the grinding machine.
Insert a silicone “button” into the internal groove of the lower part of the workpiece, with which you can easily squeeze the contents. Next, the resulting oiler must be filled with vaseline (or any other) oil.
At the last stage of work, a special metal adapter with a brush must be screwed into the neck of the oiler, and the tool is completely ready for use.
Principle of operation
Using such an oiler is very simple - turn the container upside down, press the silicone button, after which the oil slowly seeps through the adapter onto the brush, which can be used to gently lubricate the necessary elements of parts or workpieces.
