From the usual springs and gears of different diameters, you can make a homemade tanto sword, which is also called the "samurai dagger". As a result, you will get a very beautiful decorative element from available materials at hand. Such a sword will decorate any interior.
The main stages of work
To make this homemade product, it is necessary to cut a workpiece about 66 cm long from the vehicle spring. On one side of the workpiece, it is necessary to make an oblique cut at an angle of about 50-60 degrees, and on the other, cut the handle. The total length of the blade of the sword should be about 48 cm.
In the next step, the workpiece must be aligned. To do this, first we heat the spring to red, and then with the help of a sledge hammer we make an even surface along the entire length of the working blade.
Next, using a milling cutter or a conventional drill for metal of suitable diameter, we make a decorative pattern on the top of the workpiece, after which the edge of the blade must be processed on the emery machine.

In the large gear in the center, it is necessary to select a groove along the width of the workpiece handle. You will also need to make two parts of aluminum and make a decorative element from a conventional large-diameter bolt, having processed it on a lathe.
