When you need to drill holes in round pipes, they are most often clamped in a vice, but this is not very convenient, since under pressure from above the workpiece can move in the vertical plane. To avoid this, it is best to use a homemade pipe fixing tool.

For the manufacture of this homemade product you will need two corners, a piece of a plate 10 mm thick, pieces of profile pipes, an elongated nut and a metal sleeve. For work, you will need an electric drill, angle grinder, welding machine and some other tools.

The main stages of work

Four holes must be drilled around the edges of the steel plate for attachment to a table or other work surface. Then it will be necessary to weld a section of a profile pipe 40x40 mm to the base. We weld a short piece of profile 20x20 mm to the upper part of the pipe, and an elongated nut to it.

One corner is welded to the plate on the rib, and the metal sleeve must be welded to the second. A piece of steel bar is attached to a long hairpin by welding. Then, all structural elements must be cleaned with a grinder and painted to protect against corrosion.

Assembly assembly

A hairpin with a handle is screwed into the nut on a vertical stand, and a corner is attached to it, to which the sleeve is welded. The base must be screwed to the table for four screws. Then between the corners a round pipe of the required diameter is inserted and fixed in the "socket" due to the rotation of the stud.
