On the Internet you can find different types of construction of home-made devices for quickly removing bearings from the shaft of the rotor of an electric motor, however, many of them can not always be made with your own hands at home. Especially if you need to remove only 1-2 bearings.

We bring to your attention the simplest version of a manual bearing puller, which can be made from a clamp with a clamp (this tool is also called a "dog"). For this homemade product you only need a bolt, a long steel rod and a cylindrical blank with a hole in the center.

The main stages of work

From the fixed handle of the clamp we unscrew the native fixing bolt and insert the usual one of the same length. Then you need to weld a steel rod to his hat, on which we first put on a cylindrical blank. It should move freely along its entire length.

On the other side of the steel rod, you need to weld a nut to limit the stroke of the blank - if there is a lathe, then such a bar can be machined together with a restrictive cap so that there will be less welding work later. Then, with the help of a grinder, we make teeth-hooks on the tool jaws.

Now the home-made puller is ready, and you can try it out at work - we grab the bearing with hooks on the jaws (the rotor must be clamped in a vice), hold the handle and with a sharp jerk we take the blank to the edge of the rod. Then we move it closer to the handle, after which we again make a jerk. A couple of such movements, and the bearing jumps off the rotor shaft.
