If after construction or repair of the house you still have trimmings of the lathing (beam 50x50 mm) - they can be used to make a wooden table. The design is very simple, so everyone can make such a compact table for giving or at home.

If you use ready-made shields, then it will be even easier to assemble such a table. First of all, it is necessary to prepare blanks (beam 50x50 mm) for further work - first we process them on a planer, and then we pass through a thicknesser. Next, you need to glue two boards from the bars.

The main stages of work

After the glue dries, we again level the plane on the jointer and thicknesser, and then glue one wide shield for the countertop. When it dries, we trim the edges using a circular saw and a guide.

At the next stage, a small crosspiece is assembled from the boards (in this case, hidden oblique fasteners are used), to which the countertop will already be attached. Before assembly, the surface of the cross must be sanded with a manual grinder and the chamfers removed.

You will also need another crosspiece, which will act as the base of the table, it is connected to the upper crosspiece using four vertical racks of boards.

At the last stage of the work, we cover the surface of the crosses and countertops with varnish or mineral-based impregnation, after which we assemble the table. The step-by-step process of making a wooden table from scraps of lathing, see the video on the site.
