When performing any operations on the mechanical processing of workpieces in a home workshop or garage, various home-made devices will never interfere. For example, to fix round pipes, profiles and other workpieces, you can use simple homemade work.

"Third Hand" - an indispensable assistant in a variety of situations. This device can well replace a bench vise and clamps, while it is much more convenient to use.

You can make such a useful device with your own hands from an ordinary manual clamp ("dog") and pieces of metal. First of all, we cut off two plates of the same length at an angle of 45 degrees.

The main stages of work

Also for this homemade product you will need another plate of the same thickness as the previous two, but with straight ends. We make markings and drill two through holes for fasteners. Then we weld all three workpieces together - at an angle.

Next, you will need to weld a manual clamp with a clamp to the top of the rack. We set the “dog” in such a way that, after installing the structure, the clamp handles are pointing down (for convenience).

Then we grab by welding in several places. The manufacturing process of the "third hand" from a conventional manual clamp can be seen in the video on the site. Write in the comments below the video if you liked this homemade product. Also suggest ideas for refinement.
