Unlike classical clamps, a home-made clamp with an eccentric in some situations is much more convenient and practical in operation. Moreover, this device can be made from improvised materials. The author uses shaped pipes and plates.

A homemade clamp with an eccentric has two "paws" with holes on the bottom of the base for attachment to the table surface. This is very convenient since the clamp will be securely locked.

First you need to cut off two pieces of a profile pipe 40 * 20 mm of the same length, as well as two plates. The author rounds off the corners on the plates on a grinding machine. Then you need to make holes in the blanks.

The author connects one segment of the profile with the plates with a bolt and nut, and the second piece is welded.

The main stages of work

Next, you will need to cut two more plates, in which then you need to drill four holes. The resulting "paws" the author welds to the base of the lower profile. Now, a home-made clamp can be quickly fixed to the table surface using self-tapping screws.

At the next stage, the master cuts off two plates and makes slits in them at an angle - this is necessary so that you can adjust the height of the upper clamping jaw in height. Then he makes an eccentric. A piece of pipe is used as a handle.

Next, the master assembles the design. Details on how to make a home-made clip with an eccentric for a home workshop, you can see in the video on the website.
