The first step is to cut a piece of thick-walled steel pipe that is suitable for the length. Then you need to cut the workpiece in half along.

Next, the author cuts another piece of a tube of a smaller diameter and cuts them into pieces. They will need to be welded to the halves of a thick-walled pipe. The result is a homemade loop.

Next, you need to weld two metal bars to each half. From sheet metal, the author makes the fasteners that are required to install the clamping jaws of a bench vise.

The main stages of work

Next, it will be necessary to make the clamping jaws themselves. And for this, the master uses two pieces of a thick plate. On one side of each blank you need to make the notches grinder. And then the clamping jaws will need to be attached to the halves of the round pipe.

At the next stage, from the pieces of a steel plate, it is necessary to make a frame of a bench vise. You will also need a screw. All the main elements must be welded together, and then the seams should be cleaned with a petal circle.

After that, it remains only to clean all the parts, paint and assemble in a single design. First, be sure to make a control fitting, so that later you do not have to redo anything.
