In this review, the master explains all the subtleties and shows in detail how you can make a burner with your own hands, which will work without soot. As fuel, you can use waste oil or diesel fuel.

The base of a makeshift furnace is made of sheet steel with a thickness of about 5 mm. The base itself has a rectangular shape (dimensions - 32 * 34 cm).

Further, a piece of 35 cm will need to be cut from a square pipe with a wall thickness of 5 mm. If there is no such pipe at hand, then you can make it from two pieces of a channel, four corners or, for example, four plates. The main thing is that the wall thickness is 5 mm.

The next step is to cut a square “window” in the center of the base. In this case, the size of the "window" is determined based on the size of the square pipe (this will be the combustion chamber).

The main stages of work

Then the pipe is inserted into the cut hole, and the base itself must be raised to a height of 20 cm from the bottom edge of the pipe (only 15 cm of the combustion chamber should protrude above the base).

For the internal partition of the furnace, you need to cut a workpiece from metal 5 mm thick (dimensions 16.5 * 20 mm). The partition will need to be welded to the walls of the square pipe from the inside.

For the burner itself, it is best to use sheet steel 2 mm thick (workpiece dimensions - 163 * 440 mm). Then the center plate of the furnace and the sides are cut out. Next, we weld all these blanks to get a box. This will be the burner.

The final touch - and you're done

After that, it remains only to cut out a rectangle of 13 * 16 cm from a 2 mm sheet of metal, which will serve as the furnace door.

At the same time, it is also an air supply restrictor. This plate is welded directly to the burner itself. A handle from a piece of strip is also welded to this door.

In the upper part of the furnace you need to drill a hole with a diameter of 16 mm. Then the author takes a piece of the tube 16 centimeters long (with a wall thickness of 1.5 mm) and welds it into the hole in the combustion chamber.

Moreover, it is necessary to weld in such a way that the tip of the tube sticks out 1 cm inside the furnace. This will be a drip supply of fuel for the furnace.

Now it will be necessary to cut out the back cover for the furnace from a 5 mm thick metal sheet and weld it. That, in fact, is all. The power of the furnace can be adjusted using a burner.
