Old freon cylinders, as well as propane ones, are widely demanded among master-craftsmen. Someone makes a mini barbecue out of them, others - portable receivers.

In this review, the author shows how to make a bin out of an empty freon bottle. It is built into the kitchen cabinet.

A design feature is that when you open the cabinet door, the lid of the bin rises, and when closed, it falls. It seems to be a trifle, but still practical and convenient.

Balloon preparation

First of all, you need to cut off the handle on the top of the container and the valve with a grinder. First you need to bleed off the remains of freon inside the cylinder.

At the next stage, the author makes markings in the upper part of the container and cuts off the cap with a grinder. With the help of a petal circle it is necessary to remove burrs and irregularities.

From a piece of tube and rod, the author makes a homemade loop, which is then welded to the body of the cylinder and the cap. Welds must be cleaned with a flap circle.

Inside the bottle, the author puts a plastic bin (you need to pick it in size beforehand).

The main stages of work

In the place where the valve was, the author vertically welds the washer. Then he makes a fastener from a section of the strip so that the bin can be fixed on the cabinet door.

Then it remains only to paint the container itself and hang it on the cabinet door. The author ties the end of the rope to the puck, which, when the door is opened, will stretch and the lid will rise.
