Do you want the interior of the bathroom to be unusual and original? Add to it a "highlight" in the form of a concrete sink, which can be done with your own hands.

A home-made concrete sink looks very stylish, and at the same time it has good performance, and most importantly - increased strength and durability. True, the weight of such a sink is decent.

First of all, it will be necessary to make the formwork for pouring concrete mixture. It consists of two boxes: internal and external.

The master uses chipboard as the main material, but formwork can also be made of laminated plywood.

Shell Process

The surface of the outer box must be painted so that the solution does not stick. The author also sets a piece of pipe upright to make a drain hole in the sink. To reinforce the author made a frame of metal mesh.

At the next stage of work, it will be necessary to prepare a cement mortar. Moreover, cement for the manufacture of concrete shells, it is desirable to use the brand M500.

Pour the solution into the formwork. During the pouring process, it is necessary to compact the concrete mixture to remove air bubbles.

When the concrete has set and hardened, we carefully disassemble the formwork. Next, the author applies cement milk to the inner surface of the sink. The next step is polishing.

Then, the author covers the surface of the sink with several layers of deep penetration acrylic primer (in this case, Primer 3296). It increases resistance to moisture and reduces surface porosity.
