In this review, the author shows the process of making a homemade chipboard. This device is useful both in a private house and in the country.
The most important thing that I would like to draw your attention to right away is that the woodchip is designed to chop logs into smaller chips or firewood.
The author does not plan to use this chip for splitting chocks, as it is easier to do with an ordinary ax.
For the manufacture of woodchip the following materials will be required:
- a piece of metal plate;
- old ax;
- pieces of reinforcement with a diameter of 10 mm;
- steel strip 30x4 mm;
- piece of profile pipe 40x40 mm.
The main stages of work
The first step is to bend the reinforcement into a ring of the desired diameter. We cut off excess with a grinder, edges - we weld together.
Then, according to the diameter of the reinforcement ring, the author cuts a circle from a metal plate.
At the next stage, you will need to cut off two more pieces of reinforcement (for racks) and bend the ring from a steel strip. All parts must be sanded.
Making woodchip
The author welds a piece of profile pipe 40x40 mm to the ax butt. It will be an ax extension.
Next, the profile pipe must be welded in the center of the base (round plate). Racks from fittings the master welds to a ring from fittings.
Then we weld the racks directly to the base of the chipboard. At the last stage, it remains only to weld a hoop from a metal strip.
