In the home carpentry workshop, a manual milling cutter is a very necessary, and sometimes completely indispensable tool.

In this review, the author shows how to make a manual wood mill from angle grinder with your own hands.

In the keyless chuck for a drill, it will be necessary to drill a hole of the desired diameter and cut the thread in it so that it can be screwed onto the shaft of the gearbox.

Then, from the metal bar, two guides and bushings to them must be made. The bushings themselves can be made from a piece of pipe of suitable diameter.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, the master cuts out two pieces of rectangular shape from a piece of plexiglass. Glues them together, and then drills holes and tightens the screws around the edges.

Further, according to the previously made markup, you need to drill two holes for the guides.

In the upper part they are interconnected by a metal strip. It is important to maintain an angle of 90 degrees.

Before installing on the rails, it will be necessary to put on the springs and bushings that were made at the very beginning of the work.

2 blanks must be cut from a metal strip. You need to drill holes in them, and then screw the grinder to the gear housing.

The resulting "ears" must be welded to the bushings on the rails.

In the support sole from plexiglass in the center, you need to drill a hole for the cutter. Further, the author further connects the bushings using a curved steel strip.

At the last stage, it remains only to drill holes in the support sole for fixing the guides with bolts. Then you can proceed to the final assembly.
