This problem occurs very, very often in everyday life. For example, you should accidentally overdo it a little when you open the door, say, of the cabinet, and then the screw breaks out of the wood. Screwing it in again is not exactly possible, since the hole is completely broken. Particleboard crumbled and a small funnel formed after a torn screw. There is certainly no way out of this situation.
For repair we need: a wooden chopik or an insert. It is done in five minutes from a wooden battens. If round - just cut, and if square - with a penknife cut the edges, giving a cylindrical shape.

Restore the hole

First of all, measure the thickness of the chipboard. Next, we take a drill on a tree and set either a stop or a mark on it to make a hole of a certain depth. If the thickness of the material is, say, 9 mm, then you need to drill to a depth of not more than 7 mm. The thickness of the drill is also individually selected, everything depends on the diameter of the screw-in screw and the nature of the damage. I took a 5 mm drill.
Carefully drill a blind hole.

There is no need to rush, because if you accidentally drill the front side, there will be little pleasant.

Fill wood glue along the edges. You can use the classic - PVA or any other.

Naturally, the chopik should be pre-fitted for this hole in diameter and length. Carefully drive it into the hole.

We are waiting for the glue to dry. Next, we drill a hole for the screw, so that when tightening there is less internal stress, since the chopped chip is made of a single piece of wood and will easily burst or crack with excessive pressure.

That's all! The hole has been restored.

You can screw the screw into place.

The connection is very strong. Most likely even stronger than it was, since the insert adds extra density.

We repair all the necessary holes for the hinges.
Using this simple method, you can repair and restore a hole not only in particleboard, but also in another, absolutely in any wood.
