The recipe for this cake was suggested to me by one of my good friends. It is being prepared quickly and not so much is needed for its manufacture. And now this is one of my household’s favorite cakes. And as the eldest son (4 years) loves him, he eats three pieces at a time and asks for more. But I have a sweet tooth, and this cake is not sweet at all, but rather the opposite.
Essential Ingredients:
- Kefir - 250 ml;
- Flour - 150 g;
- Egg - 2 pcs.;
- Cheese - 200 g;
- Sausages - 200 g;
- Baking powder or soda - 1 tsp;
- Sunflower oil and semolina for lubrication.
I usually knead the dough in a salad bowl, it’s more convenient for me. Therefore, we take a salad bowl or a deep cup and pour 250 ml of kefir into it. I’m more used to measuring out the amount of ingredient I need with the help of mugs, for lack of a measuring glass.
Next, add one teaspoon of baking powder to kefir and leave for 10 minutes to let the reaction go. Instead of baking powder, you can use baking soda.
At this time, take two eggs and beat them. It’s more convenient for me to beat eggs with a fork in a mug, but of course you can use a mixer for speed. Also in eggs before beating, you can add a little salt to taste.
Then pour the egg mixture into a cup of kefir and mix well.
Next, take 150 g of flour, and gradually pour it into a cup, stirring the dough.
The dough should turn out in consistency roughly like sour cream, preferably without lumps.
We pass to the filling of our pie.
We take 4-5 pieces of sausages (about 200 g) and cut them into circles of about 3-5 mm. If you use sausages or boiled sausage, it is better to cut into small cubes.
Add chopped sausages to the dough.
Then we take about 200 g of hard cheese and rub it on a coarse grater. Add the grated cheese to the dough.
Mix the dough with the filling thoroughly.
Turn on the oven to heat up.
Take a baking sheet or baking dish.
Tip: In order for the cake to bake well, you need to take a wide baking sheet, then the height of the cake will be no more than 1 cm. Pour a little sunflower oil into the baking dish and sprinkle with semolina or breadcrumbs on top so that our cake does not burn.
Next, pour the dough into the mold and level it with a spoon evenly throughout the container.
We put the bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. As soon as the crust of the pie is well browned, you can pull it out - the pie is ready!
You can also learn about the readiness of the cake by the smell, from which saliva immediately starts to run away in the mouth)).
We wait until the cake cools down a bit and can be cut into pieces and eat!
Tip: The cooled pie is cut much easier and does not fall apart.
