What is ouroboros? Ouroboros is one of the oldest symbols, meaning the infinity of being: the alternation of creation and destruction, constant degeneration and death, the movement of the cosmos forward. The exact time and place of origin of this symbol is impossible to establish, but the name of the word comes from the Greek language.
The uroboros sign is a snake curled into a ring and biting its tail; it was widely used in religion, alchemy, mythology and psychology, but it is still used today (for example, it can be found in Tarot cards and on some emblems).

I decided to make a panel of fabric and beads with such a sign. For work, I needed:
- The fabric is light brown;
- Mother of pearl beads (2 bags of different colors);
- Small beads of white, yellow, green, blue, beige, purple and orange;
- Large beads of red, pink and green colors;
- Beads of pink, beige, white and blue;
- The wire is thin;
- Thick cardboard or plastic;
- PVC film of blue color;
- the needle;
- Polymer or instant glue;
- scissors;
- Nippers;
- A pencil.
Getting to work, we cut out an even square from the fabric and then, attaching it to the paper, draw a sample with a pencil.

The inscription "Ouroboros" can be composed of Greek characters:

First, we decided to make the canvas from two layers of fabric, hoping that the frames will be made of material strong enough to hold the shape. But during the work, durable material was not found on time, and for the frames we used plastic.
Taking a plastic sheet, we cut it into eight parts of different lengths:

Next, we take a self-adhesive PVC film and wrap it with four of the cut strips:

It is enough to paste over each strip on the front side, after which it will be necessary to glue on the back side of the strip in the form of a square.
Next, we begin embroidery from beads. For sewing we use copper wire and a needle, and for embroidery of the image we took small beads of dark pearl color:

Three hoops with locks can be added to the neck of the symbolic snake. This will mean that the life cycle is not simple: all living things are born in torment and perish in torment.
Having embroidered the snake, we make up the inscription:

When embroidering with beads, in order to make the first seam, we introduce a needle with a wire, then we collect the right amount of beads on it and, after calculating the distance, draw a wire with a needle through a fabric and tie both ends of the wire at the back. If the wire ends, you can tie a new one to it, only on the reverse side and carefully: the knots formed when tying can interfere with the advancement of small beads, and if the wire is pulled tightly, distortion of the rows of weaving with beads and fabric will appear.
Next, we decided to take a file cover for work to make the craft more resistant to water and pollution (dust):

We hemmed the edges of the crafts that cover:

But this cover reduced the brightness of the craft and its beads faded, but we did not notice it right away.
When we got thick cardboard, we made a canvas for the back of the craft:

We glued the craft to this canvas using reliable glue:

Next, to the front and back sides of the craft, we decided to stick plastic frames:

After that, we decided to remove the file cover, and the panel became more beautiful:

After some time, we decided to replace the dark frame with a light one made of beads, like embroidery, but in the form of berries, leaves and flowers, also using the parallel weaving technique. It is not difficult to make such jewelry, but you can find out about drawing up similar shapes in the article on the Bead decoration on the stand:

Now our panel is ready:
Sincerely, Vorobyov Dinara.
