The use of natural materials in crafts and fine arts is gaining more and more popularity every year. Pressed floristry (mistaken) is an ancient Japanese technique for creating paintings from dried flowers. Using various dried plants, decorators create unique paintings and plots, and the whole process takes place without the use of any colors.
In order to create an image from dried flowers, special devices are not required. In fact, all working raw materials can be collected in a field, a neighboring park, forest or grown on a windowsill. Including imagination, materials can be found anywhere: by drying the peel of a banana or eggplant, opening tea bags with hibiscus or other tea, as well as drying the peel of a tangerine, cucumber or peeling it from onions.
Leaves, flowers, fluff, peel and other materials are dried in various ways, including standard drying with a press, vacuum drying and drying with irons. Usually, after processing, the plants lose their natural color and turn pale or dark in several shades. Materials such as banana become dark brown after drying, so before starting work, you need to roughly imagine what the author wants to achieve, and then choose the plants of the desired color scheme.
After selecting materials, dried plants are attached to fabric or paper canvas, forming a unique composition.
As an illustrative example, we recommend that you follow the process of creating the painting "Lady with a Bouquet" performed using the technique is mistaken.
1. Getting started, in addition to dry materials, it is necessary to prepare the following tools:
• Colorless glue (can PVA);
• Small scissors;
• tweezers;
• A sharp object;
• Glue gun (for gluing large plants);
• White cardboard (if necessary - color)

2. To create a picture, the following materials are required:
• Dried rose petals or bells;
• Petals of violets;
• Any yellow leaves;
• Dry peel of a banana;
• Dry corn stigmas (in other words - hair from corn);
• Other materials for decoration that will be at hand.

3. Before starting work, a small sketch of the future picture on paper should be made;

4. On the finished sketch we apply several rose petals. We put the leaves to each other so that the result is a skirt that repeats at least a little drawn silhouette;

5. Apply glue to the entire length of the skirt and glue the petals with tweezers;

6. We pass to the sleeves. Cut them from the petals of a lighter shade and glue in the same way. Previously, on the petals, you can draw sleeves, and then cut them. The result should be like this.

7. We make a neckline zone. From the banana peel we cut out the bust of the necessary shape and glue it on the drawing;

8. Next, we make out the dress, sticking the missing part, as shown in the photo;

9. From the yellow sheet we cut out our hands and glue them to the lady;

10. From small floral particles we make out the face and with a pistol we apply a drop of glue on the head area. We fix a bundle of corn hair, holding it with a sharp object for a while, so that the hair sticks well. Immediately decorate with dry violet;

11. Glue 2 violets in the bouquet area (you can use other flowers);

12. We decorate the corners of the picture with various dried flowers. Remove the remaining pencil.

A picture of dried flowers is ready! It can be presented as a gift to relatives and friends or left at home and enjoy the creation of their own hands.
