The great Orthodox holiday is approaching - Easter. And I suggest crocheting a very beautiful craft that will complement and decorate your interior. It will be a chicken with colored eggs. It weaves quite simply and does not require special crochet skills.
From the materials we need:
yellow yarn
- residues of yarn in different colors
-hook (depending on the thickness of the thread)
-sintepon
We start by weaving eggs. To do this, take the yellow yarn, draw three air loops and close it into a ring. After weave into a circle of 5 single crochet (RLS).
2 row - in each RLS weave two RLS. It turns out 10 sc.
3rd row - weave again two RLS under each loop of the previous row. As a result, we get 20 sc.
4th row - weave without additions.
5 row - 2 RLS we knit in one loop, then one RLS and so on until the end of the row. We get 30 loops.

6 - 15 rows we knit without increases.
16 row - we knit 5 sc, then we skip 1 sc in the previous row and again 5 sc. Knit to the end of the row. We get 25 sc.
17 - 18 rows knit without increase 25 RLS.

Place the synthetic winterizer inside so that the egg holds its shape.

19 - 20 rows should be gradually reduced, narrow the hole. To do this, we knit RLS through one column of the previous row.

We make several such eggs of different colors.

Now we need to weave an Easter chicken. Let's start with the head. It weaves in exactly the same pattern as the testicles, but with an increase in RLS by several loops, depending on the size of the product that you want to get as a result.

Fill the sintepon not tightly so that you can flash the place where the eyes will be.

For the body, dial 3 air loops and close in a ring. Knit 6 sc.
2 row - 12 sc.
3 row - 24 sc.
4th row - 36 sc.
5 row we knit without increases.
6 row - add evenly 5 sc.
We knit 7-12 rows without increases.
8 row - add another 5 - 6 sc.
We knit 9 - 11 row without increases.
Then we begin to gradually narrow the product, reducing 5 loops each.

We stuff tightly with a synthetic winterizer.
We knit the last couple of rows in an RLS through one column of the previous row.
Now take the red thread and, starting just above the middle of the body of the chicken, dial 6 air loops, knit to the end of the row through one RLS. Next, knit 6 double crochet stitches (CCH) into each semicircle of air loops. It turns out a nice frill, which will serve as feathers for our bird. Such frills should be done to the end of the body. I have three rows.
To tie the scallop, dial 17 air loops and knit the RLS through one loop (replacing the column with an air loop). Turn the knitting and knit in the first arch 2 CCH, in the second 3 CCH, in the third 3 CCH, in the fourth 4 CCH, in the fifth also 4 CCH and in the last two 2 CCHs. Sew the resulting scallop or knit hens to the head.

We collect all the details, glue the eyes and the beak (I tied it in the form of a cone, but it can be done differently).
Everything, our Easter chicken with eggs is ready and will be a wonderful decoration for your home, as well as bring its share of comfort and warmth, like all handmade things. Such a chicken with eggs can be used as a developmental toy for babies.
