Using such a homemade metal brush, it is possible to clean parts from varnish, rust, old paint, dirt and other coatings in hard-to-reach places where standard disk, blade and cup brushes are simply useless.

To make a homemade brush nozzle for metal processing, a minimum of materials will be required: a round bar with a diameter of 10 mm and a length of not more than 14-15 cm, three pieces of a steel cable with a diameter of 2.5 mm and a length of 8 cm, as well as a piece of a metal-plastic pipe with a diameter of 13 mm and about 4-5 cm long.

Step-by-step manufacturing process

Using a grinder on one end of the steel bar, we cut off the side walls to get something like an eye, in the center of which it is also necessary to drill a hole.

After manual processing of the hole with a round file, we insert three identical pieces of cable into it. We fix them with a piece of metal-plastic pipe, which must be attached to the rod with a rivet (factory or homemade - for example, from a nail), after having previously drilled a hole of a suitable diameter.

Then we open the ends of the cables and the brush for the electric drill is ready for use. We insert the nozzle into the cartridge, clamp it and you can proceed to the "dirty" work. Thanks to its compact size, a homemade brush head is useful when you need to clean the surface of a metal in narrow and inaccessible places.
