If you need to cut perfectly even round holes in a plywood sheet, chipboard, OSB board or other materials (for example, under a subwoofer or a round sink in the countertop), then this is conveniently done using a home-made jigsaw device.

To make it, you will need a piece of plywood, the thickness of which is 8 mm, as well as several wooden bars. All these materials are almost always at hand in any workshop, so everyone can make this device for a jigsaw.

The main stages of work

First, let's work a little with a pencil and a ruler - draw the main part from plywood and cut it with a jigsaw. The result should be a L-shaped workpiece. Next, you need a 20x30 mm rail. From it you need to cut out the bars and assemble a rectangular window.

The resulting wooden box must be screwed with wood screws to the rectangular part of the plywood blank. Then the container will need to be cleaned with sandpaper. After that, we drill a hole with a diameter of 16 mm with a pen drill.

Next, from the edge of the hole using a jigsaw, make a cut of 10 mm length. We retreat a centimeter from the edge of the plank and draw an axial line with a pencil over the entire length of the plank. Having marked 400 mm from the slot to the end of the bar, you will need to make gradation on the front surface - as on a regular ruler.

Thus, we got a very convenient homemade device for a jigsaw, with which you can cut even circles. For a detailed manufacturing process and the use of this homemade product, see the video on the site.
