For the manufacture of this homemade product you will need a cam chuck from an electric drill, as well as a wooden handle of suitable size from any hand tool (file, chisel, etc.). You will also need a standard SDS-plus adapter with 1/2 thread, which is used to connect the cartridge with a rotary hammer.

Using this versatile hand tool, you can not only tighten screws and self-tapping screws, but also drill holes in the tree and cut the threads by installing a drill and a tap of a suitable diameter. Such a homemade drill cartridge is useful in any home workshop or garage.

Do-it-yourself tool: work stages

First of all, you need to drill a hole in the wooden handle under the tail of the adapter from the cartridge to the hammer. If at hand there is no suitable handle made of wood, then it can be turned on a lathe. Then we lubricate the adapter shank with adhesive (it is better to use a two-component) and press it into a wooden handle.

We wind the cartridge on the threaded part of the adapter, fix it with a screw and the universal hand tool is completely ready for work. As you can see, making it is very simple. Now, using bits for screwdrivers, drills and taps, you can perform various operations with wooden and metal workpieces or parts.
