From a conventional wrench, you can make a simple and convenient cutter for woodwork with your own hands. Please note that in this case, the master uses the combined key as a basis: open-end wrench and ring spanner.

The first step is to heat a part of the socket wrench with a gas burner. Then, using the abrasive nozzle for the drill, you will need to grind the inner edges in the cap head.

Next, the grinder must be cut at the angle of the sponge of the open end wrench. The cutting site will need to be sanded to remove any bumps left after cutting the angle grinder and burrs.

The main stages of work

At the next stage, using the grinding wheel for the grinder, you need to make the descents of the blade of the future wood cutter. Then the blade will need to be hardened. The procedure is standard: the cutting edge is heated red-hot and then cooled in oil.

After hardening, the master makes a vacation of steel. Then, the final sharpening of the cutter blade on the grinding wheel for the grinder is performed. The same operation can be done on a belt grinder.

At the last stage, it remains only to make a notch on the “body” of the key so that the finger does not accidentally come off during operation, and grind the tool.
