With the help of a homemade device made from the power steering pump of a car, you can drain oil from the engine through the hole for the dipstick. However, this is not the only option for using this device.

Since the master took the non-working power steering pump as the basis for this home-made, he first needs to repair the power steering. And after the restoration of efficiency, you can begin to make homemade products.

But in general, to make this device, you can use the original power steering, and then you do not have to waste time disassembling / assembling the device.

The main stages of work

First of all, a 10 mm diameter stud should be screwed into the power steering pump shaft. Further, a furniture corner is attached to the power steering housing, and the master is already attaching the electric drill handle to it.

After that, the plastic tube must be put on and secured to the fitting. For this, a rubber hose with a diameter of ½ inch and metal clamps are useful.

At the last stage, it remains only to screw the tap with the tube. For more information on how to make a do-it-yourself device from an old car power steering pump, see the video on the website.
