From old pliers, as well as unnecessary scraps of metal, you can make a universal bearing puller with your own hands. The design is very simple, if you wish, everyone can repeat.

The first step is to remove the plastic (or there may still be rubber) pads on the handles from the pliers. Then, with the help of a grinder, the master cuts off part of the upper sponge.

In the center of the hinge, you will need to drill a hole. It will be more convenient to do this on a drilling machine. But, in principle, you can get by with an electric drill.

The main stages of work

Next, the master disconnects the two halves of the pliers - in order to be able to clean them from rust. The angle grinder with a petal wheel will perfectly cope with this task.

Then it will be necessary to cut off two pieces of a metal plate, to drill holes in them. A regular hex nut is welded to the ends.

At the next stage, the master shortens the handles of the pliers by about half. Then, with the help of a grinder, it will be necessary to cut out the hooks for the bearings.

In one of the jaws of the pliers, you need to drill a hole and cut the thread in it. Then a bolt is screwed into this hole. By turning the bolt clockwise, it will be possible to extend the ends of the handles with hooks to the sides.

Then it remains only to weld the U-shaped part from strips of metal to a steel bar with a blank set on it. And it will be possible to start assembling the device.
