In this review, the author shows how you can make your own case for a pendant LED lamp made of plywood 18 mm thick. This is a great solution for the garage and home workshop.

The author took a 5000 K LED lamp as a light source. It is used as an alternative to fluorescent lamps. Please note that this LED lamp can be connected to a 220 V network, and at the same time it is connected on only one side.

The first step is to cut six pieces of rectangular shape from a plywood sheet 18 mm thick. Of these, you need to glue two blanks. For gluing, the author uses PVA glue.

The main stages of work

In the resulting plywood blocks, one hole must be drilled so that an LED lamp can be inserted into them. In one of the blanks, you additionally need to make a "seat" under the contact socket for the lamp.

At the next stage, the author cuts two slats from a plywood sheet, in one of which you need to make a groove under the power wire. After that, you can proceed directly to the assembly of the housing itself for the lamp.

The finished case will need to be sanded and varnished or, for example, stained. In addition, you will need to make a plug that is inserted from the side where the contact socket is not installed.
