In this review, the author shares a useful idea that will come in handy in the home workshop and garage. Namely, how to make a homemade turbine for a cyclone using inexpensive and available materials.
The author uses an electric motor from an old vacuum cleaner with a capacity of 1600 W. The motor is compact, but at the same time quite productive.
To make a turbine case, the author uses a piece of plastic sewer pipe 43.5 cm long.
On CNC, the author cut two rings with large and small holes that are installed inside the plastic pipe - in the upper and lower parts, and are fixed with self-tapping screws.
The main stages of work
Another important element of a makeshift turbine is a car filter (for trucks).
At the edges of the filter, the author screwed two circles of plywood. In one of them it will be necessary to make a hole in the center. The filter itself is inserted inside the plastic pipe.
The author specially made a hole in the circle of such a diameter that it could be docked with an electric motor.
After installing all the elements inside the housing, a 90 degree angle is put on the pipe. Then the whole structure is docked with the cyclone itself.
