In this review, the author shows how to make a simple clamp with a screw from a clamp with your own hands. Homemade is used to fix workpieces made of wood and metal.
In addition to the screw from the clamp, you will also need a wooden block 35 cm long and pieces of metal strip.
First of all, the author cuts two pieces of strip (one edge must be cut at an angle). In each workpiece we drill three holes with sweat.
Then we cut off two more of the same plates and also drill three holes in them.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, the master cuts off two more pieces of the steel strip, but already in a rectangular shape. One blank must be welded to the first pair of plates, the other to the second.
After that, the author cuts off part of the frame from the old clamp with a screw and a clamping nickle. This screw must be welded to one of the previously made workpieces.
At the last stage of the work, it remains only to screw all the details to the base (wooden block) onto the screws.
