The puzzle itself is made entirely by hand from wood. And to make it look like an apple, the author uses a red tree.
But by and large, you can use absolutely any species of wood, and even birch plywood. And then just paint it in the right color.
To make a puzzle, you need a cube about 10 * 10 * 10 cm in size. Using a hand saw, the master cuts it into separate pieces of different thicknesses.
The main stages of work
All blanks must be sanded with sandpaper. Then the author, using a paper template, cuts out two details in the shape of an apple. You will also need to cut the remaining parts in the form of bars.
In 2 apple-shaped blanks, the author makes grooves with a hammer and a chisel.
At the next stage, the remaining "spare parts" of the puzzle are made.
Then the author adjusts all the details so that they fit tightly into each other, and collects the apple. Using a rasp, you need to process the outer surface of the homemade product.
All details are treated with mineral oil or simply varnished. Then proceed to the assembly.
