If a pulley is urgently needed, it can always be made of plywood on a lathe.

But what if there is no lathe? In this case, you can use a drilling machine.

We will make a pulley from plywood 22 mm thick. Using a crown on a tree, we cut out a circle of the desired diameter.

In this case, the pulley diameter is 64 mm. The hole in the center of the circle is 12 mm.

The main stages of work

We insert a hairpin with a diameter of 12 mm into the central hole in the workpiece, fix it on both sides with ordinary nuts. Do not forget about the pucks!

Next, you need a piece of chipboard or plywood. It is necessary to make a hole in it, and then we press in the bearing.

At the next stage, one end of the stud is fixed in the drill chuck, the other is inserted into the bearing pressed into the chipboard or a piece of plywood.

Next install another hairpin (it will serve as a stop). We turn on the drilling machine, arm ourselves with a chisel and proceed to the processing of the circle - we make a groove for the belt in it.
