Knit a hat "Dinosaur"

If your child loves dragons, dinosaurs and other cartoon characters from this family, then I propose to knit such a dinosaur hat. It fits in quite simply, the main thing is to follow our step-by-step instructions. This hat was connected to the baby at the age of 1.5-2 years. But as you know the height, weight and volume of the child does not depend on age at all. Therefore, I propose to verify your knitting with another baby hat that fits him. If necessary, feel free to add a few loops, they do not play any role for the drawing, but the funny Dinosaur hat will be exactly the size of the child.
1. Choose the main color of the cap. In my case - swamp green.
2. We select secondary tones. I have white and black. You can take blue, cream or brown.
3. We start knitting with 85 air loops.
4. Close all the loops in the ring.
5. We knit the first row with single crochet posts. Attention: the beginning of each row is a chain of 2 vp
6. We knit the second row of caps without changes. Thus, we knit 11 rows.
7. 12 row - the beginning of the reduction in the number of loops in the cap. We knit 7 crochets, and then skip one loop of the previous row. Then again 7 scs and skip loops. We knit according to this principle to the end of the row.
8. To skip loops in the next row, you can not count the columns. It is enough to carefully look at the previous row and make a pass in the same place. The missed loop looks like a small hole in the knitting and it is impossible not to notice it.
9. Having knit so 5 rows, we pretty much reduced the volume of the dinosaur hat.
10. The next two rows we knit double crochet through one loop and finish knitting the base of the headdress.

12. We impose 6 single crochet. Then we knit two columns in each loop of the previous row and two columns in one loop. Then repeat this combination. (If you can, knit 3 stitches in one loop, instead of 2. Since this is difficult, it is permissible to knit two stitches in the first row instead of three).
13. The next row fits simply. In each loop, one column, and in that loop where we knitted 2 (or 3) we knit 3 loops again. Thus, the edges of the plate are formed.
14. We knit so to the required height and width of the spike.
15. We need to tie 4 identical spikes for the ridge of the dinosaur hat.
16. Try on the base of the cap and find a place for the ears. We start to knit them with ordinary crochet columns. I have two lifting loops and 10 posts.
17. In the opposite direction, we knit 1 column less.
18. The third row of ears fits another column less.
19. Knit with the same decrease two more rows and finish knitting.
20. On the reverse side, we repeat the entire knitting process. Well, the ears are ready.
21. We knit eyes. I started with the pupil - black. We make a ring of 4 loops and tie it with 6 single crochet columns.
22. In each loop we knit two.
23. We knit one loop and two in the next. Repeat this until the end of the row.
24. We need to knit one column, then another and 2 columns in one loop. We knit so until the end of the row and finish knitting.
25. According to this principle, we knit a large white circle and a small white one, in which there are only 2 rows.
26. Sew with a thread the eyes of a dinosaur.
27. We tie the hat with black thread.
28. It remains to make the ties. Laces - an ordinary chain connected by two threads: black and green.
29. We sew the ties and the miracle hat "Dinosaur" is ready.
