A few years ago, young people had a new hobby - the game of Sox. In foreign countries, this is called a footbag. The essence of the game is stuffing a small knitted ball with legs and other parts of the body, except for the hands and transferring it to other players.
Soxes come in various colors, so you can always find something to your taste. To have your own unique ball, you can easily tie it with your own hands.
To create a socks we need:
- threads. Since the footbag is small, you will need a very small skein of thread. You should not choose woolen threads, it is better to give preference to cotton or synthetic yarns.
- hook. The optimal hook size is 3-4 mm.
- pin or marker. We will fix the beginning of the knitted row with them, so as not to stray.
- scissors and a needle with a thread. They will come in handy when completing work.
- filler. As a filler, you can use cereals (rice, buckwheat, peas), small plastic balls or bullets from a toy gun. In our case, the sox will be filled with peas. However, it is worth remembering that it is not recommended to wet sox with groats, since buckwheat and peas will quickly get wet, which will ruin the whole game.

The process of making Sox.
First of all, you need to tie 5 air loops. Such a quantity is optimal, because if you make more of them, then in the end a too large circle forms, through which the filler will spill out.

When we pull the end of the thread, we get a small circle, which will be the beginning of the Sox.

Then into the loop, where the hook is, we hook the pin and begin to knit single crochet until the marked loop.

After that, we begin to add loops. To do this, make two single crochet in each 2 stitches of the previous row. Knit to the pins.

Then we make two single crochet in each 3 stitches. So we do the rest of the rows, until we understand that the size is already sufficient. In our case, two single crochet bars turned out in each 8 loop.

After that, we knit simple single crochet in each loop. You can not count the rows, but just look at the eye, how many rows of Sox will be enough. Usually fits 8-10 rows. When knitting, it is necessary to ensure that the threads fit tightly to each other so that there are no holes.

When the required number of rows has been tied, we will reduce the size of our socks. Since the last addition was done on each 8 loop, we will first decrease also on 8.

Next, you need to make a decrease on loop 7, 6 and further, until we get to the end. After all that has been done, a small hole will remain in the ball.

Carefully pour filler into this hole. You can pre-place a capron sock in the Sox and pour cereal into it to reduce the likelihood of spilling of the filler.

After filling the filler, you need to knit the remaining hole or sew it with threads.
Now our Sox is ready!
