To make sweets and a cup, you will need the following tools and materials:
- 3 sheets of felt of different colors: red, white, pink;
- an empty tin can;
- a small package of any cotton wool;
- gold threads metallized;
- paper or cardboard for blanks;
- pencil and ruler, dry soap;
- scissors of 2 types - ordinary and with rounded tips;
- needles, pins;
- black tape, double-sided tape or glue.
First step is to create blanks. You need to make some paper forms for sweets with a pencil and plain paper. These will be shapes of different shapes, for candies - curved sticks, and for a cup - large circles. Even better if you have cardboard or heavy paper. Then the blanks will become reusable.
Next stage - transfer of blanks to red felt. Dry soap for contouring will come to the rescue. Sweets consist of 2 identical bent-shaped blanks that will need to be sewn. When transferring, it is more convenient to use pins to fix the fabric, as well as 2 types of scissors. There are rounded places in the blanks, so scissors with rounded ends will be very handy. Use felt sparingly; place workpieces denser to each other.
Having received as a result 2 blanks for each candy, you can start stitching the samples. The threads must be durable and differ in color from the basic materials. Join the felt samples, select a thin needle and start sewing from the corner. The knot on the thread must be hidden inside.
When stitching the blanks, immediately fill the candy with cotton. For pushing inward, it is convenient to use a toothpick. When the candy is ready, prepare a thin strip of felt white or pink. It will need to be sewn to the finished wand. Wrap the strip around the candy and sew it with a thin needle to the stick in the places of winding. It will be faster to pierce the stick through, moving in a zigzag.
The final finish of the sweets - winding the same thread around the stick. You can use only such a winding or with a strip of a different color. Prepare a few candies, preferably 5 pcs., To make the cup seem fuller.
As a stand for sweets, you can use a decorated cup or a tin can. A tall tin or nut jar is good. To make the edges of the jar less sharp, you can glue them with black tape. You should also decorate the jar with felt. Circle shaped blanks are useful for the outer and inner bottom of the jar. Glue can be replaced with double-sided tape. Stick a few strips of tape on the jar, and attach felt on top. The combination of felt with electrical tape will make a beautiful decorated cup holder for sweets out of a solid jar. You can add other decorative elements on top, such as ribbons, beads, sparkles.
The finished decor can be placed on the table or on a shelf in the closet, or you can add a hook to the glass and hang it on the wall.
